 In this brief essay we will outline the main features of Ancient Egyptian history. Ancient Egypt was an ancient civilization of eastern North Africa, concentrated along the lower reaches of the Nile River in what is now the modern country of Egypt.

Ancient Egypt - The Mask of King Tutankhamun

The intact tomb of King Tutankhamun was discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter in the Valley of Kings. King Tut, the Boy King, would have been relegated to relative obscurity, reigning Ancient Egypt for a mere 10 years, without the discovery of his tomb. The everlasting image of King Tut’s mask has been seen around the world and has come to symbolize the Ancient Egyptian civilization, as iconic as the pyramids themselves.

La cosa asombrosa sobre el Antiguo Egipto

Aunque se puede definir temporalmente el antiguo Egipto como el período en la historia de Egipto desde la invención de la escritura jeroglífica en el final del antiguo concepto que se refiere específicamente a la civilización que vivía en las orillas del Nilo durante este período de casi cuatro mil años de historia. La colección egipcia de las tribus que crearon el primer imperio faraónico hasta su colapso a principios de la era cristiana, el antiguo Egipto ha sido testigo de acontecimientos importantes que han influido profundamente en la cultura de una gran parte de los pueblos del África, el Mediterráneo y Oriente Medio.
